Case Closed

Today is Monday and I drove to the car dealer's company straight and meet with the manager face-to-face for the first time. We went straight to my car to which he examined the damage and nod. Then we walked back to his office where he made a phone call. After the call (to which we couldn't hear much), he said several things and finally offered to change damaged seat. I was like, THANK GOD for that. You have no idea how many nights' of sleep I lost because of this problem. Wow I even lost some weight.

So anyway, good thing the manager agreed to bear the responsiblity. He seems like a nice man and I personally wouldn't mind working for someone like him! He understands the weight of the problem and how best to solve it without receiving further potential problem/ damage to his company's reputation. Leadership skills shown.

The agent, I must say, gave me the most headaches. Therefore regardless of anything, I must voice out my dissatisfaction to her manager. And I did. Though he in a way defended her (which I understand most managers should do this for their staffs in front of customers), he said he will talk to her regarding the way she handles the problem (which again, I must say, very badly).

Now problem settled as the kind manager agreed to replace seat. I can now have peaceful sleep at night without thinking what strategy/ havoc to cause to use when I see the manager.

Totally FRUSTRATED with IRRESPONSIBLE CAR AGENTS!!!

Bought my car (MyVi) from a local car dealer. The service was okay, the agent gave me some free stuffs and what not which comes with the car, including the RM400 tint. I accepted it and made a booking, paying RM500. She promised me the car in early January - meaning waiting time is only 1 month. Times comes mid December, when I called her-she told me in the middle of January. I went like, "alright..." but wasn't happy about it.

Then in the early week of January I called again to enquire the status of my car, to which she said NOW, have to wait until END OF JANUARY. Fine, I said. But on the 3rd week of January, I called and ask for my car, she said - beginning of February. There were excuses on the line which I think, she had used for more than hundreds of times that she could actually recite them in her dreams. I accepted it once again, seeing there's no alternative but to wait. THEN, she dared to call me at the end of January and asked me whether I want to take the premium version - as it arrives first, which of course *rolls eye* more expensive. She must have sensed my urgency of getting the car because when I refused the offer, she said, "Oh, if that's the case then your car will most probably arrive after CNY." I ask you, bengang or not? Sure bengang right?

Fine, in the end I got my car on CNY eve. But it was pretty rush so we just took the car and left. We drove it home, and next thing we knew when we tore the back seat's plastic - there's 9 blade-induced-cut on the left seat. Because it was during CNY, I did not contact them since we wer epretty busy ourselves. But when I finally managed to contact the agent, she said she will arrange time to meet so that she can see the condition of the damaged car seat; however there's no warranty for car seats. I was angry. How come I wasn't briefed on this fact? I thought the whole car is being warranted? And I did not induce the cuts, so heck, must I live with the damage I did not do?

She gave me many excuses and dragged the matter for about a week. When I finally managed to get through to her, she said a discussion was held with her boss and their decision was that because I signed the DO, they cannot do anything. Good Lord, what is this? Cannot or won't? Indeed, I got angry but before I could say more, she already slammed the phone. Rude, ain't it? Never seen someone as rude as that, gosh.

I drove right to their office after that. Since she wasn't there, I complaint to another staff - one of her colleague. He told me that he will report the matter to his boss. At the same night, the guy called me and said his boss is willing to change the COVER of my damaged seat.

On Saturday I went to their office again but unfortunately the manager wasn't there. But the male staff whom I spoke to previously was there. I said I wanted to talk to his manager and he called him up. The phone was the passed to me. I spoke to the manager and he highlighted, "because you signed the DO"... You see, if I saw the damage/ cut with my own eyes before I sign the DO and then said, "It's ok" and sign it, THEN I am at fault. But according to the law, if you sign an agreement without understanding/ knowing that there are defects (plus the fact we weren't informed properly of what is being warranted and what is not), then you are NOT liable, the other party is. Come on, I didn't attend my law classes for nothing. We couldn't finish the long-winded talk on the phone, so I made an appointment with him this coming Monday so we could face-to-face and to show him the ugly damage that they are being so irresponsible for.

Even if you buy a can of expired milk, you can always go back to the shop and exhange for a new one. We consumers are protected by the consumerism law. Fight for your rights and NEVER EVER let these irresponsible parties off the hook easily.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Hi all, Happy CNY! Sorry for the late wish... couldn't find time to blog. Okay, that wasn't a good excuse.

A Happy CNY this year? Not really though. I looked forward to celebrating cuz I wasn't here last year and one of the best aspects of CNY is of course, the FOOD! Apart from being to meet relatives and getting stuffed with biscuits and what not, it's the angpau that we normally anticipate (regardless of whether you're a kid or not). Truth be told, it applies to everyone LOL.

But it wasn't ll merry and rosy this year. There were several arguments at home and I got a ticket for speeding. Okey dokey, I deserved that. But going at 70 kmph in the highway isn't desirable. It's far too slow. If you normally reach there in 30 mins' time, going at 70 you'll be there in perhaps 50 to 60 mins' time. Get what I mean? Of course, I'm not saying that we should speed and all but allowing up to 90 or 100 kmph should be alright. Thank god we didn't go back to Ipoh this year, otherwise the jam's a killer. A 2 hours and 30 mins journey will turn into a 5 hours drive home (by the time which we could reach JB in that amount of time).

Back to CNY, I went to several relatives' house. It's supposed to be a happy gathering but oh well, its been like that each year. To some people, its the time to show off how well they have been, which big shots they have associated and how rich is their daughter's bf. Right, show off all you want. We only see you once a year so pour out all you wanna say :D I can take it.

The fun part is having friends over or going to their house. It's like rare chances when you get to see each other and have really nice chat over little things. I would very much like to have a good friend of mine to actually stay over some day so we can chat until whatever time we feel like sleeping. I guess that would be a hard-to-come-by chance. At least have to wait until we moved to the new place.

I guess no one could possibly miss the news on Edison Chen with naked photos of his ex-es. I believe everyone is simply curious, be it you're a guy or a girl. Trust me, I was dead curious. Both me and my friend. You think you can find these pix? No way. But I accidentally stumbled on this forum where someone posted the pix of Cecilia Cheung. The forum members ALL thanked this person and these thank-you messages actually extended up to 5 pages long!!! I am surprised alright. Thought at least there would be ONE person who'd said, "Don't post these pictures." or maybe "Stop spreading the pictures."

Truth be told, it's gross. I think they can all be porn actress now since they no longer have a good reputation =.= I do pity them but on the other hand, they should have expected something like this to happen when they allow such pictures to be taken. Cause and effect. End of story.

Unexpected Findings

Last week had been a hectic one, with some personal matters to take care of and I went back to my hometown for a relative's wedding. I packed until late at night, nope, the wee hours to be exact then had to wake up at 6.30am... We left the house around 8am with me driving all the way from Klang until Ipoh. There were lots of zoning in and out due to the upgrading work in progress causing some minor traffic jams. Thanks to that we finally managed to reach Ipoh by 10.30am.

The wedding dinner was held at a seafood restaurant. I had to say the people there are pretty much accurate in terms of time. The dinner was supposed to start at 7.30pm. We left my auntie's house at 6.45 and reached there around 7.20. There were no parking so my dad had to make few rounds at the place. Believe it or not, there is another restaurant opposite and that Saturday everywhere is full with bookings for wedding dinner. Our place is upstairs and the upstairs were divided into 2 (left & right). My relative had the left side of the restaurant while the right side was dominated by another bride and bridesgroom's wedding.

We are the groom's side and it was a cousin (?) whom I had not met for about... let's see... 10 years? I still remember how he looks when he was younger and no doubt I could recognize him easily as he walks in hand-in-hand with his beautiful bride. Funny thing was, we were sitting next to each other's table yet me and my other cousin wondered whether he'd remember us :) can't help it since it was such an absolutely long period of time! When he and his bride came over to our table to which everyone in our table all toast to their happiness, we spoke for the first time. He stood beside me and said, "You're Ah Ping right?" I laughed and said, "You remember me!?" to which he replied, "Of course! Do YOU remember me?" . And then he started looking around the table and identified several of my other cousins.

After the dinner and as we were all saying goodbye to him, we chatted a little. Regarding last time, what we are doing now, how old we are etc etc. I'd wanted to catch up more but there were other people behind me and my mum was gushing me so I wished him and then went downstairs with my auntie and cousin sisters. Anyway it was a really happy occasion to have been able to see him again, as well as my other relatives whom I didn't get to meet early this year (as I was still in Perth at that time).

Riiiiiiiiiight now we change the topic a little... As I was browsing the net today, there was a sudden urge to re-watch some of the V6's funny videos I watched last time (years back). Unfortunately I couldn't find them, only managed to find 'Cinderella'. From there I was linked to many other funny Arashi, Kinki Kids, JJr's vids etc. Then I saw one clip that says that Tsuyoshi (Kinki Kids) used to be roommates with Junichi (V6) and I was so hyped up! I mean, I had always liked to hear news regarding this two since I do think they match pretty well together. They are both good friends as opposed to Koichi (Kinki Kids) and Nagase (Tokio) being pals. Weeeeeeee~ and after that I saw some of Arashi's clips. There were lots of comments and pairings that fans came up with. But there was one particular video regarding an interview on a variety show that blew the whole thing off. Jun and Aiba was complaining on how Nino and Ohno seems to be extremely close to each other. Jun said Nino likes to touch Ohno's butt regularly, and Ohno seems to be really happy when Nino does that! Aiba added that there was one time Nino rubbed perfume for Ohno and they wore the same perfume LOL. I dunno what to say... I did find some clips that showed how close Nino and Ohno seems to be. As a matter of fact some fans said that Nino had started to buy gifts for Ohno, whereby buying gifts had always been a bothersome thing that Nino dislikes. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees I absolutely LOVE this pairing too because both of them (especially Ohno) had always been my favourite members in Arashi. Though Jun complaint, there were clips that showed him and Ohno kissing~! Oh well... its complicated! LOL

What I am trying to convey is that such things never cross my mind. I'd thought of them as idols etc and that only in manga we have doujin. I was really surprised to find many people are engrossed in these pretty boys pairing =) Other interesting things I found was that there were a lot of Akame (Akanishi Jin x Kamenashi Kazuya), Ryo x Uchi (Nishikido Ryo x Hiroki Uchi) KameP (Kame x Yamapi/ Yamashita Tomohisa), TakkiP (Tackey/ Takizawa Hideaki x Yamapi), T & T (Tackey x Tsubasa), OhnoJun (Ohno Satoshi x Matsumoto Jun), OhnoNino (Ohno x Ninomiya Kazuya) and many others. But better still, there are still fans who wanted a Ryo x Ueda (Ryo x Ueda Tatsuya) pairing though there were numerous events that showed both's dislike towards each other. There are also fans who dislike Ryo for his mean demeanour =( ... However in my opinion, that's just the way Ryo shows himself. He isn't much of a pretentious person and a little on the harsh side, especially with language maybe because he's from Kansai (no offense, please). I don't think he really hates Ueda but I guess sometimes there are people whom you just couldn't get along well with.

Both from Kansai, I think Ryo and Uchi does make a good pair, don't you think? Ryo had hugged him on several occasions and had been particularly nice to Uchi (no?). Perhaps its because they get along better than with the others *wink* ... I heard too, that Ryo's close friends are Tackey, Yamapi and Jin. A funny combi don't you think? Nevertheless, they are all my favourite~!

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

As those of you who knew me, I'm a sucker for horror movies. I love ghost movies and stuffs. I don't really fear them last time but now I don't know why I jump at the slightest sound. There was once when I had to go to the bathroom at night and my mum woke up for the same reason. We didn't turn on the lights coz there's hardly anyone apart from me going to toilet in the wee hours. So when I saw her, OMG she gave me such a scare that I practically jumped and let out a small scream. She too, was shocked to see me but even more shocked at my scream. And then my idiotic pet terrapin, she's always crawling around my living room and kitchen. These days she'd started to develop some kind of feet fetish I think. She'd come beside me (my leg) and then smell it. Or sometimes when she merely brushed past my feet. My heart couldn't take these. I mean, imagine you are watching a movie to intently and then suddenly something cold touched your feet. Aren't you SHOCKED!? I was beyond shock! It happened so many times! This morning too! I let out a scream when she did that and my mom gave me "that look" saying I should have realized she's nearby. SO? I couldn't expect what 'timing' she was gonna come around and touch me!!!

But no, the freakiest thing was that yesterday I was bored, plus the fact I had been craving for some horror movies. I flipped through my DVD booklet and then saw 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose'. I watched it 2 years back at the cinema with my friends. Back then, it didn't really met my expectations coz I was looking forward to something like 'The Exorcist'. So now 2 years later I saw the DVD (my mom bought it) and decided to watched it again since I'd forgotten about some of the scenes. And no doubt, I was totally engrossed in the movie this time. I don't know why this time when I watched it, it was really spooky. By the whole concept and all. Yes, I couldn't sleep at night after that. I got really scared. at 2.30am I looked at the clock and realized I'm only 30 minutes away from the demon's witching hour. As described in the movie, 3am is the demon's to mock the Jesus's holy time 3pm. As time drew near, Iurged myself to stop the music and prepare myself for bed. Then a second thought sprang into my mind, if I do go to bed before that I would be alone in my bedroom at 3am which is an even scarier thought. I decided its best to remain where I am until it's past 3am. Thank god nothing weird happened and around 3.15 I went into my room to sleep. But no, I couldn't sleep at all. I toss and turn and got really scared. I brought my laptop in and put on music. I also left the light on in my room. If I could, I'll leave every single corner of my house's light on!

In 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose', a priest, Father Moore is charged with negligence over the care of Emily Rose which was entrusted to him. Erin Bruner on the other hand acts as Father Moore's defense lawyer. Erin is a strict and no-nonsense woman. She would try any means to help her client and achieve what she'd wanted: a senior post in her law firm. Erin was under attack by the demons as well because there are dark forces encircling the case. The story then travels back to the time when Emily Rose was still alive and how her traumatic experiences began as the trial proceeds.

Emily Rose is a girl in her 19s or so, who left her home to study in the university when she received a scholarship. She stayed in the dorm and though everything seemed perfect at first, it soon turned into a nightmare for her. Emily started to see hallucinations and couldn't control her body at will sometimes. She was hospitalised and doctors gave her medications-Gambutrol as she was diagnosed with epileptic. But the medication did not help her, and as a matter of fact might have turned her condition worse. Soon after that Emily was brought home. She couldn't continue with her studies any longer given the state she was in. Emily's parents then requested Father Moore, their family priest to help Emily.

After confirming that Emily had been possessed by 6 demons (among them Nero, Cain, Judas, Lucifer, Belial), Father Moore proceeds with exorcism to drive these demons away. However the exorcism failed and Emily continued in her worsen condition. She then passed away on a natural death and that was when Father Moore was arrested. Even so, he doesn't care what would happen to him because what he wanted to do was to be able to tell Emily's story as stated in her will. Of course, if you were to watch the movie, I'm not going to spoil the main content which was in Emily's will--that states the reason why she had to suffer all these pain.

It's really worth a watch. I won't really compare it with 'The Exorcist' coz both has a somewhat different element in it. The story of Emily Rose does not only intends to show the horror side of it but also the touching tale of Anneliese Michel, the person whom Jennifer (something) portrays as Emily Rose. Oh, didn't I mention that Emily Rose's is based on a real story? You can read the real tale behind it at: http://www.moviesonline.ca/movienews_1253.html

That was because I got too caught up in the movie (though 2 years late haha) and began to look for articles or stuffs to read on Anneliese Michel. It was sad though that both Anneliese's parents and the two priests who performed the exorcism was sentenced to half years each for negligence. Of course, its the court we are talking about. Only FACTS matters right? But I don't think that life is all about that. There are things out there that cannot be explained even by science alone. Moreover they do exists, whether you believe them or not.

Singapore Convo

Singapore is definitely a fine country with many strict systems. As we drove there on the weekend (on Hari Raya) it was a disaster. After leaving our house at 5.30am, and officially started our journey at 6, it took us about 4 hours to reach Johor. Upon meeting both my uncles at Skudai as promised, we went to one of my uncle's home as he packed his belonging (he didn't knowwe'll be staying overnight at SG). It was then lunch and around 1pm, we adjourned our journey to Singapore. From 1 onwards we moved towards the custom and it was a really really really long queue. It took us more than 1 hour to finally moved to the immigration booth. But we didn't have any green card or the cash card. At the booth, the officer gave us the green cards to be filled. I felt sorry for the cars queuing behind us as the 5 of us fumbled with what to fill in and what not. When we're finally done, we had to drive to the counter to purchase the cash card in order to get into Singapore. That took us some time too. Therefore in total, we reached Singapore at 3pm and drove straight to Chinatown where our hotel is located. We got into the parking booth and then didn't know what to do. There was no parking ticket to pick and they said "auto pass" which made us think its like staff's card (which we definitely don't have). All in all, we're stuck there with several cars behind us (again) with no staff to help us. Luckily my uncle managed to ask someone and they said we can use the cash card to get in, much to our relieve.

I'm pretty much lazy today so I won't be talking much about my journey at SG (I'll leave it for next time). Graduation day was really fun :D I arrived there at around 2pm and saw Angie and her friend. Then I met up with Janet, Nai Lin, Kah Yen and Aaron (Gan). We chatted for a while and snapped some photos. Arter that we went into the hall to get our regalia. Inside, I met some more other seniors. I knew quite number of them by face but not name (lol, yes, I'm an ignorant person). Including this one guy and another (lol), I found them really familiar and finally realized we used to be in the same class for certain subjects... even so, we didn't talk back in KDU so there's no point saying "hi" casually since we aren't close. I saw Han Cai and her sister after taking my regalia. We talked for a while but I had to rush back to buy some stuffs so I said goodbye to them and went off in promise we'll meet again later at the convo.

I reached there at 5.30 and saw Ee Huang & Kendy. Then I met with Hui Yi and started changing into my regalia. It was a little early so together with my parents and uncles, we queued for the photo session which costs $S 25 for the shots.

My individual photo... my uncle was saying that I'm promoting for Murdoch, to which I replied, "Can't help it, I graduated from there after all!"

A family photo... but unfortunately one of my uncle had a course so he couldn't attend!

Weeeee my seniors! (l-r) Aaron, Kah Yen, me, Janet & Nai Lin

A group photo! I know most of them but not everyone... as a matter of fact, there are a few here that I know by face but not name ^^ so I'll juz randomly name those I know: Jessica, Philip, Kendy, Lee Hua, Sook Chen, Alex, Mei Ling, Han Cai, Yeong Wen, Soo Hwa, Alex etc etc :D

The joy of throwing your mortar board...? And then everyone started looking for their own mortar board on the ground. A second threw came when someone said, "Due to the audiences' requests (it's a favourite), so we'll do it again!!!"

Aaaaaah it was really fun~ I have some pix at Han Cai's camera, Nai Lin's phone, Angie's camera and Lee Hua's camera... gotta mail them for the pix hehe~

2nd Dose of Little Detectives

Its funny how I bought 3 set of DVDs and end up finishing One Piece first. That got the better of me. When I finished, it left me with a tingling feeling of wanting more but couldn't. I tried easing with Jdrama. Tantei Gakuen Q was unexpectedly good. The cast were superb but from first impression, I didn't really think they'd fit into it so well. The story, though somewhat different from the book, did not divert its plot away from the main theme that it was supposed to deliver: the war with Mei-Ou-Sei (Pluto). All in all, everyone in Q Class were good and Yamada Ryousuke carried out Amakura Ryuu's dark personality extremely well. I was surprised at how good 14 year-olds can be involving acting.

Q Class members (l-r): Kyuu, Megumi, Ryuu, Kazuma, Kinta

Ah... as expected, my favourite character is still Amakusa Ryuu, casts by Yamada Ryousuke. Throughout the whole series he displayed a rather dark and twisted characteristic. His facial expression was good as well, serious and a person who's used to darkness in life. But when I saw him smile for the first time, I felt a happy expression suits him more.

The many faces of Yamada Ryousuke as Amakusa Ryuu (above)
Some pix below of the Q class members... I mean, group picture :D

I guess this should be it... the next posting will be events, pictures and stuffs at the Singapore convocation trip! Yes, leaving tomorrow morning and I can hardly waaaaaaait!!!
