Case Closed

Today is Monday and I drove to the car dealer's company straight and meet with the manager face-to-face for the first time. We went straight to my car to which he examined the damage and nod. Then we walked back to his office where he made a phone call. After the call (to which we couldn't hear much), he said several things and finally offered to change damaged seat. I was like, THANK GOD for that. You have no idea how many nights' of sleep I lost because of this problem. Wow I even lost some weight.

So anyway, good thing the manager agreed to bear the responsiblity. He seems like a nice man and I personally wouldn't mind working for someone like him! He understands the weight of the problem and how best to solve it without receiving further potential problem/ damage to his company's reputation. Leadership skills shown.

The agent, I must say, gave me the most headaches. Therefore regardless of anything, I must voice out my dissatisfaction to her manager. And I did. Though he in a way defended her (which I understand most managers should do this for their staffs in front of customers), he said he will talk to her regarding the way she handles the problem (which again, I must say, very badly).

Now problem settled as the kind manager agreed to replace seat. I can now have peaceful sleep at night without thinking what strategy/ havoc to cause to use when I see the manager.

Totally FRUSTRATED with IRRESPONSIBLE CAR AGENTS!!!

Bought my car (MyVi) from a local car dealer. The service was okay, the agent gave me some free stuffs and what not which comes with the car, including the RM400 tint. I accepted it and made a booking, paying RM500. She promised me the car in early January - meaning waiting time is only 1 month. Times comes mid December, when I called her-she told me in the middle of January. I went like, "alright..." but wasn't happy about it.

Then in the early week of January I called again to enquire the status of my car, to which she said NOW, have to wait until END OF JANUARY. Fine, I said. But on the 3rd week of January, I called and ask for my car, she said - beginning of February. There were excuses on the line which I think, she had used for more than hundreds of times that she could actually recite them in her dreams. I accepted it once again, seeing there's no alternative but to wait. THEN, she dared to call me at the end of January and asked me whether I want to take the premium version - as it arrives first, which of course *rolls eye* more expensive. She must have sensed my urgency of getting the car because when I refused the offer, she said, "Oh, if that's the case then your car will most probably arrive after CNY." I ask you, bengang or not? Sure bengang right?

Fine, in the end I got my car on CNY eve. But it was pretty rush so we just took the car and left. We drove it home, and next thing we knew when we tore the back seat's plastic - there's 9 blade-induced-cut on the left seat. Because it was during CNY, I did not contact them since we wer epretty busy ourselves. But when I finally managed to contact the agent, she said she will arrange time to meet so that she can see the condition of the damaged car seat; however there's no warranty for car seats. I was angry. How come I wasn't briefed on this fact? I thought the whole car is being warranted? And I did not induce the cuts, so heck, must I live with the damage I did not do?

She gave me many excuses and dragged the matter for about a week. When I finally managed to get through to her, she said a discussion was held with her boss and their decision was that because I signed the DO, they cannot do anything. Good Lord, what is this? Cannot or won't? Indeed, I got angry but before I could say more, she already slammed the phone. Rude, ain't it? Never seen someone as rude as that, gosh.

I drove right to their office after that. Since she wasn't there, I complaint to another staff - one of her colleague. He told me that he will report the matter to his boss. At the same night, the guy called me and said his boss is willing to change the COVER of my damaged seat.

On Saturday I went to their office again but unfortunately the manager wasn't there. But the male staff whom I spoke to previously was there. I said I wanted to talk to his manager and he called him up. The phone was the passed to me. I spoke to the manager and he highlighted, "because you signed the DO"... You see, if I saw the damage/ cut with my own eyes before I sign the DO and then said, "It's ok" and sign it, THEN I am at fault. But according to the law, if you sign an agreement without understanding/ knowing that there are defects (plus the fact we weren't informed properly of what is being warranted and what is not), then you are NOT liable, the other party is. Come on, I didn't attend my law classes for nothing. We couldn't finish the long-winded talk on the phone, so I made an appointment with him this coming Monday so we could face-to-face and to show him the ugly damage that they are being so irresponsible for.

Even if you buy a can of expired milk, you can always go back to the shop and exhange for a new one. We consumers are protected by the consumerism law. Fight for your rights and NEVER EVER let these irresponsible parties off the hook easily.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Hi all, Happy CNY! Sorry for the late wish... couldn't find time to blog. Okay, that wasn't a good excuse.

A Happy CNY this year? Not really though. I looked forward to celebrating cuz I wasn't here last year and one of the best aspects of CNY is of course, the FOOD! Apart from being to meet relatives and getting stuffed with biscuits and what not, it's the angpau that we normally anticipate (regardless of whether you're a kid or not). Truth be told, it applies to everyone LOL.

But it wasn't ll merry and rosy this year. There were several arguments at home and I got a ticket for speeding. Okey dokey, I deserved that. But going at 70 kmph in the highway isn't desirable. It's far too slow. If you normally reach there in 30 mins' time, going at 70 you'll be there in perhaps 50 to 60 mins' time. Get what I mean? Of course, I'm not saying that we should speed and all but allowing up to 90 or 100 kmph should be alright. Thank god we didn't go back to Ipoh this year, otherwise the jam's a killer. A 2 hours and 30 mins journey will turn into a 5 hours drive home (by the time which we could reach JB in that amount of time).

Back to CNY, I went to several relatives' house. It's supposed to be a happy gathering but oh well, its been like that each year. To some people, its the time to show off how well they have been, which big shots they have associated and how rich is their daughter's bf. Right, show off all you want. We only see you once a year so pour out all you wanna say :D I can take it.

The fun part is having friends over or going to their house. It's like rare chances when you get to see each other and have really nice chat over little things. I would very much like to have a good friend of mine to actually stay over some day so we can chat until whatever time we feel like sleeping. I guess that would be a hard-to-come-by chance. At least have to wait until we moved to the new place.

I guess no one could possibly miss the news on Edison Chen with naked photos of his ex-es. I believe everyone is simply curious, be it you're a guy or a girl. Trust me, I was dead curious. Both me and my friend. You think you can find these pix? No way. But I accidentally stumbled on this forum where someone posted the pix of Cecilia Cheung. The forum members ALL thanked this person and these thank-you messages actually extended up to 5 pages long!!! I am surprised alright. Thought at least there would be ONE person who'd said, "Don't post these pictures." or maybe "Stop spreading the pictures."

Truth be told, it's gross. I think they can all be porn actress now since they no longer have a good reputation =.= I do pity them but on the other hand, they should have expected something like this to happen when they allow such pictures to be taken. Cause and effect. End of story.
